The castable resin has a simple 2:1 mixing ratio and has a 40-minute operation time, making it easy to use even if this is your first time using it. After pouring the mixed resin onto the prepared surface, small bubbles may appear, but they are easily blown out by waving a heat gun back and forth across the surface. This self-leveling epoxy resin is uniformly distributed during curing. When it dries, it looks crystal clear. Step 1: Pour equal parts resin and hardener into a clean mixing container or graded mixing bucket in a ratio of 2:1 (by volume). Accurate product measurement and thorough mixing are essential. Measure by volume 1 part resin to 1 part hardener. Don't change the ratio. Our epoxies cure at specific mixing ratios and any difference may result in the product not curing completely. We recommend pouring the hardener into the mixing container before pouring in the resin. This will help the two ingredients blend completely. Step 2: Stir with a flat mixing stick or spatula, making sure to scrape the sides and bottom of the container as you stir. Your mixture will appear fuzzy at first, then become more transparent as the resin and hardener molecules begin to mix within three to five minutes. Step 3: The best way to apply the sealing coating is to start at one end of the table and pour the resin over the entire surface of the table, in a zigzag direction. Then use a foam brush to drag the resin across the entire surface to even out the coating. Each coat of flood paint is about 1/8 inch thick.
