A short-cuff race boot designed for smaller-frame racers, junior athletes stepping up to adult-spec gear, or advanced skiers who want race-level fit and feel at a more accessible flex. The short cuff makes this boot work well for shorter lower legs, and the 90/80 flex range puts it solidly in advancing-intermediate-to-advanced territory.
The short cuff is the headliner here. Most race boots have tall cuffs that don't work well for shorter calves or smaller-frame skiers, but the WCR 6 SC keeps all the race architecture while bringing the cuff height down to something more usable. The result is a real race boot for athletes who would otherwise be stuck in a softer, less precise option.
Smaller-frame racers, junior athletes moving into adult boots, and advancing intermediate to advanced skiers who want race fit at a manageable flex.
The WCR 6 SC RV uses the same RV 1500cc last as the stiffer WCR boots, so the foot is held in race-level snugness across the entire size run. Where it differs is the cuff: shortened to fit smaller legs without losing the cuff alignment and rear support tuning that bootfitters rely on. The Racing WCR Pro liner has the adjustable tongue, optional laces, and a racing footbed, and the shell is FIS approved at the sole thickness. The 45mm Velcro strap is a step down from the wider 53mm strap on the stiffer boots, which actually works better with smaller-frame skiers who don't have the leg mass to load up the larger strap. Race balance, 13 degree forward lean, and 4 degree ramp angle keep the geometry consistent with the rest of the WCR line, and racing flex tuning lets bootfitters fine-tune the response.
The short cuff helps with fit but does cost you some upper-cuff drive on big GS turns. If you're a taller skier with the leg length for it, the regular WCR boots will give you more cuff leverage. Also, this still has a true race fit and a Low-Volume RV last; high-volume feet are not the audience.
True to size, with a tight race fit. Don't size up.
